Simply put, with their lack of offense, they need to play a perfect defensive game and get all the bounces going their way to win. And if good luck is part of your game plan, you have a problem. But from the highlights it appeared Theodore played very well, Forsberg wasn't overtly rusty, and the Sedins/Naslund were generally contained...
