Burning the Oil

Jason Botchford of The Province previews tonight’s game between the Canucks and Edmonton, highlighting, in particular, the fact the Sedin twins have been absolutely murdering the Oilers lately.

Indeed, the Sedins have scored a combined total of 31 points in the last 10 games.

That is, quite simply, a ridiculous statistic, especially if you happen to have the misfortune of being an Oilers fan.

For whatever reason, the Super Twins bring it whenever the Oilers are on the schedule. Perhaps it is the horrible defence, the lacklustre goaltending, or simply their mutual disdain for the city of Edmonton and a corresponding desire to humiliate and embarrass its hockey team, I don’t know.

What I do know is that the Canucks are going to win (again) tonight and the Sedin’s will continue to tear the Oil apart.

Consider this Smooth Jimmy’s lock of the week.
